Stephen Hill joined the Suffolk men's soccer staff for his first season in 2018 as the Rams’ Goalkeepers Coach and returns for his third season in 2020-21.

Hill's first campaign on the bench saw the Rams take their talents overseas for a kick-off season trip to London. Once back in Boston, the blue-and-gold went 4-11-1 on the year and missed out on the league's tournament after compiling a 3-7-1 conference record. Individually, Jordan Casey stood out as an All-GNAC third-team honoree, his second such accolade in as many seasons.

Year two with Hill on the sidelines proved to be an up-tick battle for the blue-and-gold with eight games decided by one goal or less, five overtime battles, and the switch to Interim Head Coach Austin Burrows two games in. Rams’ rookie Sunjoon Tenorio’s boot was responsible for the game-winning strike in five of Suffolk’s six victories, but it would not be enough to push the 6-9-1 overall squad into the GNACs postseason with a 4-7-0 league ledger. Hill helped a trio of goalie gloves in Tom BennettSteven Lopez and Kyle Rosa build a .810 save percentage and 1.45 goals against average in 16 outings.

Hill, who currently works as the Associated Director of Academic Financial Planning at Suffolk, holds a resume full of experience developing keepers. He takes a spot on the Rams’ sidelines after working as an Assistant Goalkeeping Coach for the Nova Premiere Soccer Club. He has also worked with the Norton and Sandwich Youth Soccer Programs.

Hill earned his Master’s Degree from Suffolk’s Sawyer Business School in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance in 2002.

The former Suffolk graduate holds is USSF E License and United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Certification.
