BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer is back at the friendly turf of James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial ParSaturday, Oct. 21 for a 3 p.m. Commonwealth Coast Conference showdown with Gordon.

Suffolk men's soccer poured in a pair of unanswered goals over a five-minute span in the second half and Xander Balog turned aside both shots he faced to shutout the University of New England, 2-0, Wednesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Barbara J. Hazard Field.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk holds a 9-4-2 overall record and sits 4-1-1 in CCC contests, good for second place in the league standings. 

The Rams, who are receiving votes nationally for the third straight week, has put together a 32-goal offense. The quartet of Brady Sorensen (6g, 2a), Diego Pierantozzi (6g), Matthew Belluardo (5g, 1a) and Francisco Valck (3g, 5a) have powered the blue-and-gold's scoring unit this season. 

Xander Balog (6 GP, 0.83 GAA, .762 save %) and Nathan Harlow (9 GP, 1.22 GAA, .771 save %) have split time in net for Suffolk this season. Balog has kept three opponents off the scoreboard, while Harlow has a pair of shutouts. 

FIGHTING SCOTS FACTS
Gordon played to a 1-1 draw against Roger Williams Wednesday to carry a 6-1-6 overall record and 2-1-3 CCC mark into Saturday's action.  

Benji Wright has powered the Fighting Scots offense. He has been involved in nine of the team's 17 goals, scoring eight himself and assisting on another. Henry McElory and Benny Simpson have factored into the scoring as well with three goals each.  

In net, Hudson Bennett has taken on the bulk of the work load with nine games played, all starts. He holds a 0.78 goals against average and 0.868 save percentage. Gunna Lucuk has four games under his belt in which he has assembled a 0.51 GAA and .857 save percentage. Both keepers have three victories to their credit.

Suffolk men's soccer received votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches National Poll for the third straight week, the national organization announced. The Rams remained in the second spot Region II for the third consecutive week as well.
