Men’s Soccer Picks Up Votes in United Soccer Coaches National Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Suffolk men's soccer received votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches National Poll for the third straight week, the national organization announced. The Rams remained in the second spot Region II for the third consecutive week as well. 

Nationally, the Rams received votes for the first time in program history Oct. 3. They have picked up nods in each of the following two weeks. Regionally, the blue-and-gold made its debut in the ranks in the fourth spot of Poll 1, Sept. 12, 2023. Since then, Suffolk climbed its way to second, where it has stayed over the last three weeks. 

Suffolk is joined in the regional ranks by Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) counterpart Gordon, who lands sixth in the region. Other league foes that have joined the Rams and Fighting Scots regionally ranked are Roger Williams (third, Poll 1 / eight, poll 2), Endicott (seventh, Poll 1).   

The Rams sit 8-4-2 overall and 3-1-1 against CCC foes, good for second in the league standings. 

Suffolk's offense has poured in 30 goals this season and has limited its opponents to 15. That goal differential is the best in Region II and sits 78th nationally, while the 2.14 scoring offense ranks third in the region and lands in the top-100 (98th) in NCAA DIII. The blue-and-gold's total goals (30), assists (25), points (85) are all the best in the region.  

The Rams take their talents to Biddeford, Maine this afternoon, Wednesday, Oct. 18 for a 4 p.m. CCC contest at the University of New England.
