BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer returns to its Commonwealth Coast Conference calendar Saturday, Sept. 23 when it visits Endicott for an 11 a.m. league tilt.

LAST TIME OUT
Three different Rams scored and five student-athletes recorded at least one point, while Nathan Harlow made seven saves en route to Suffolk men's soccer's 4-0 triumph over Mass. Maritime in non-conference action at East Boston Memorial Park's James A. Sartori Stadium Tuesday night.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk returned to the win column in shutout fashion Tuesday with a 4-0 triumph over Mass. Maritime. The Rams are unbeaten, 1-0-0, in CCC contests after they defeated Wentworth, 4-0, Sept. 15.  

Suffolk has scored 14 goals through seven games. Half a dozen Rams have potted two markers in Francisco ValckBrady SorensenCarter Van BuskirkMatthew BelluardoDiego Pierantozzi and Erik Van Even. Valck sits atop the team in points with a pair of assists to go along with his strikes. Tommy Handelsman has also set-up two scores.  

Xander Balog and Nathan Harlow have split time in net. In four starts, Balog owns a 2-1-1 ledger with a 1.00 GAA and .714 save percentage. Harlow, meanwhile, has built a 0.67 GAA and .895 save percentage in his three appearances, all starts, for a 2-1-0 record. 

GET TO KNOW THE GULLS
Endicott (2-4-1) won its first two games of the season but has not found the win column since four setbacks and a 1-1 draw to Salem State in the mix. The Gulls fell in their CCC opener, 2-1, at Nichols Sept. 16.  

Max Karkos and Aidan Sheehan have identical two-goal, one-assist stat lines to pace Endicott's eight-goal offense. Tiago Frazao has one goal and a team-best two assists to his credit.  

Kevin Pelletier and Brett Roy have shared the keeper role for the Gulls. Pelletier, who owns both victories, has started four games and holds a 1.55 GAA and .684 save percentage. Roy has assembled a 1.33 GAA and .500 save percentage in his three games played, all starts. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk defeated Endicott twice last season – 1-0 in the regular-season and 2-0 in the CCC Semis – to move to 2-3-0 all-time against the Gulls. 
  • There have been three shutouts in the all-time series – the first-ever meeting, a 2-0 Endicott win Oct. 17, 2011 and both of Suffolk's triumphs. 
  • The Rams are 1-1-0 versus the Gulls in Beverly, Massachusetts. 
  • Suffolk is 2-1-0 against Endicott with Bill Maddock on the sidelines.

EYES ON THE GAME

REGIONAL RANK
A week after making the program debut in the United Soccer Coaches Regional Rankings, the Suffolk men's soccer team held onto its top-8 position in Region II as the Rams land fifth in the Poll II edition, the national organization announced Tuesday.
