Men's Soccer Enters CCC Era with Bill Maddock as New Head Coach

It's been less than a week since ​Bill Maddock​ (Marshfield, Mass.) took over as Suffolk head coach, but he already has a lofty declaration for the program.

In short order, he wants to turn the Rams into the top Division 3 private program in Boston's urban core, with Emerson, Wentworth and Emmanuel listed as the top competitors. He views MIT and Tufts in a different realm, and then UMass Boston is a public university.

Maddock's aim is ambitious, but might be achievable given the school's downtown location, size and academic reputation. During the Suffolk search process, several college coaches remarked to ​New England Soccer Journal​ that the opening had serious potential.
