BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer makes a quick road trip Wednesday, Oct. 2 as a midweek match sends the Rams to Anna Maria for a 4 p.m. battle.

#RAMSFANFEST
All members of Ram Nation are invited by Suffolk Athletics to East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, Oct. 5 for the Rams Fan Fest event. 

The fifth event is part of Suffolk Weekend and follows Rammy's Fun Run, which begins the day at 11 a.m. at East Boston Memorial Park inviting alumni, family members, faculty, staff, students and friends of all ages to run or walk for a great cause, the Suffolk University Center for Community Engagement (CCE). 

Following the run, the family friend fan fest festivities begin at 12 p.m. and the men's soccer kick-off against cross-city and GNAC rival Emmanuel is scheduled for 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's soccer team suffered a 6-0 setback to Saint Joseph's (Maine) in GNAC action Saturday afternoon at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk looks to reenter the win column after falling to Saint Joseph's (Maine) Saturday and dipping to 2-4-1 on the season and 1-3-0 in GNAC bouts. 

Simon Velez Angel's paced the Rams' offensive output early on this season. As of late though Sunjoon Tenorio has been the main ingredient to Suffolk's scoring. The senior and rookie share top on the team in scoring with three goals each. Emilio Tenacio has a knack for setting-up goals. The freshman owns a squad-best three helpers. 

Tom Bennett and Steven Lopez have shared netminding responsibilities with each set of gloves responsible for one win. Lopez brings in the better numbers with a .750 save percentage  and a 2.24 GAA, while Bennett boasts a stat line of 2.33 GAA and a .676 save percentage. 

AMCATS ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Anna Maria is a on a two-game skid, both of which were shutouts, including a 2-0 setback to Norwich Saturday, that put the AMCATs at 4-7 on the year and 1-1 versus GNAC foes. 

Offensively, Anna Maria has put away 14 goals this season powered by Hezekiah Adeyeye. The freshman midfielder has had a hand in 11 markers, scoring eight himself and helping on three others. Ryan Todesco and Nick Lawrence have also been scoring threats with three goals and two goals, respectively.

Jeffre Donahue has taken on the bulk of the work in net for the AMCATs. The junior keeper holds a .711 save percentage, 3.27 GAA over seven starts and owns all three of Anna Maria's victories. Kyle Sherman has also seen action in between the posts and holds a .678 save percentage and 5.80 GAA in four appearances.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk has ran off three straight wins over Anna Maria to take a 7-1 all-time series lead.
  • Three outings have been decided in shutout fashion with the Rams owning the trio of decisions -- a 9-0 win in 2012, a 4-0 win in 2013 and a 1-0 shutout last season.
  • Anna Maria's single victory over the blue-and-gold was a 4-1 triumph in 2015.
