HOW IT HAPPENED
Kuma Onyejose put St. Joe's on the scoreboard seven minutes into the action as the sophomore snuck a chipped ball past Steven Lopez off of a through ball assist from Jackson Taylor.

The Monks added onto their lead eight minutes later with an unassisted strike from Cody Elliot.

In the 27th minute Suffolk had a chance to get on the board when Sunjoon Tenorio put a header on net in the box. Monks keeper Tomas Griffin thwarted Tenorio's attempted to keep Suffolk scoreless.

The Monks went on the attack early in the second half, converting another breakaway opportunity in the 46th minute. Taylor found Onyejose for the second time as he struck a ball into the lower right corner of the net.

Noah Robinson extended the Monk's lead to 5-0 off of a free kick opportunity from just outside of the box several minutes later. Taylor tallied his third assist of the day on the play.

Nico DeCola capped off St. Joe's scoring with two more strikes in the 66th and 73rd minutes, respectively.

Suffolk's attempts were limited the rest of the way and Griffin took care of business in between the pipes for the visitors to secure the shutout for the Monks.
