LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's soccer team and Mass. Maritime battled to a 1-1 draw in its season opener Saturday afternoon at Clean Harbor Stadium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk opened its season its season Saturday with a 1-1 draw at Mass. Maritime to head into the week in search of its first victory in the 36th season.
The Rams lone goal came off the boot of senior Simon Velez Angel, while his classmate and co-captain Christian Restrepo set-up the game-tying marker.
Tom Bennett has played all 110 minutes in net for the blue-and-gold. The sophomore keeper stopped eight of the nine shots he faced in the season debut to bring a 0.82 GAA and .889 save percentage into the midweek match.
LIONS LOOK
Eastern Nazarene is two games into its 2019 campaign. The Lions fell in their season opener, 3-2, at Nichols, before shutting out Worcester State, 3-0, Monday, to sit 1-1 on the year.
Charlie Swann has been the main ingredient to Eastern Nazarene's five-goal offense as the junior forward is responsible for 60 percent of the tallies (3) and has had a hand in 80 percentage with one assist to his credit. Jose Ruiz and Leon Zaffonato each put away the rock once this season, while Kirby Georgeon rounds out the Lions with at least one point over the first two games with an assist to his credit.
Three different keepers have taken the pitch for Eastern Nazarene over its first two games. Tyler Ferreira has seen the bulk of the time and has registered a 2.55 GAA and .700 save percentage over 105 minutes of play. Didac Gomes Castellvi picked up all four shots he saw in his half of game time and Tim Eddings recorded one save in 29 minutes on the field.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Suffolk renews a rivalry with Eastern Nazarene, meeting for the first time since 2014 and 12th time overall.
- The Rams lead the all-time series 9-2.
- After dropping the first two outings versus the Lions, the Rams have rattled off nine consecutive victories.
- There has been one shutout in the series, a 5-0 decision, which belongs to Suffolk and came in 2007.
- The foes needed extra time to decide a winner just once with the Rams taking the overtime battle, 3-2 in two extra sessions in 2004.
