16 Matches Ahead for Men’s Soccer’s 36th Season

2019 SUFFOLK MEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE

BOSTON – A month away from first kick, the 2019 Suffolk men's soccer campaign has officially been announced, which features 16 matches including eight on the turf at East Boston Memorial Park.

Back-to-back road tilts begin the 36th Rams' campaign with trips to Mass. Maritime (Aug. 31) and Eastern Nazarene (Sept. 4) on the calendar.

A pair of home games mirror the away contests with Ram Nation getting its first view of the 2019 squad Saturday, Sept. 7 when Lesley stops by James A. Sartori Stadium. Albertus Magnus swings by a week later for the GNAC opener Saturday, Sept. 14 and Suffolk will then journey to Johnson & Wales for a Saturday, Sept. 21 showdown.

From there, Suffolk heads back on the road with a Saturday showdown at Johnson & Wales set for Sept. 21.

September action wraps up in Eastie with Norwich (Sept. 25) and conference powerhouse Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Sept. 28) each paying the blue-and-gold visit.

A mid-week match at Anna Maria Wednesday, Oct. 2 precedes the fifth annual Rams Fan Fest which pits the Rams against their Bean Town and league rival Emmanuel Saturday, Oct. 5.

Suffolk stays in title town Tuesday, Oct. 8 when it tangles with the Leopards at Wentworth before hosting Regis (Oct. 12) and Mitchell (Oct. 14).

The Rams will be on the road for three of their final four games as they travel to Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Oct. 19), Lasell (Oct. 23) and Rivier (Oct. 30) for the regular-season finale.

During that stretch, Suffolk makes a pit stop in East Boston Saturday, Oct. 26 for Senior Day against Colby Sawyer.

The Rams look to make it back to the post-season missing the field a year ago. To help Suffolk get there will be senior James Fisher (5g) and Jackson Hines (3a) who anchored the front and back lines, respectively, last season. Sophomore Tom Bennett (2.46 GAA, .700 save %) is set to return to his post between the pipes, while senior Christian Restrepo and junior Jarrett Davis could be back in the line-up after missing a campaign due to injuries.
