BOSTON – The Suffolk men's soccer team will take a break from GNAC action Wednesday, Sept. 27 when it makes the short trip to Cambridge for a 7 p.m. tilt at MIT.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's soccer suffered its second straight setback as Regis defeated the Rams, 3-1, Saturday afternoon at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk looks to shake its two-game skid that put the blue-and-gold at 3-4 on the season. 

The Rams offense has been limited to just one goal in its last two games. The lone marker came off the cleat of sophomore Felipe Ucros, who is tied with classmate James Fisher for second on the squad in points as each boast a stat line of three goals and one assist for seven points. Christian Restrepo, who opened the season with a four-game point streak, has been kept quiet since the second week of actin. Also a member of the sophomore class, Restrepo paces Suffolk's attack with 11 points on five strikes and one dish. 

Jon Brodeur and Kyle Van Cleef have each guarded the goal for the Rams. In five appearances, Van Cleef brings in a 1.92 goals against average and a.735 save percentage, while Brodeur owns a 1.29 goals against average and a.727 save percentage in three outings. Brodeur is 1-1 in net, while Van Cleef is 2-3.

EYES ON THE ENGINEERS
MIT saw its two-game win streak come to a halt Saturday, Sept. 23 as the Engineers were edged by WPI, 2-1, to move to 3-2-2 on the year. 

Through seven games, MIT has potted the rock 12 times with Loukas Carayannopoulos responsible for five of those markers. The freshman midfielder's 11 points lead the way for the Engineers with Ryan Stuntz sitting second on the squad with four points with one marker and a team-best two handouts. Carols Hernandez has also set up two shots with Isaac Perper and Joshua Wilson contributing one goal and one assist apiece. 

Jeremy Cowham has played every minute of action between the goal posts this season. The sophomore keeper boasts a 0.94 goals against average, allowing just seven goals past his fingertips for a .916 save percentage and a 3-2-2 record.
