Dean Stifles Men’s Soccer, 8-0, in Regular Season Finale

FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Suffolk men's soccer team suffered an 8-0 setback at Dean Tuesday afternoon in the Rams' regular season finale at Grant Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Dean, who currently is ranked third in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), powered past Suffolk thanks to a hat trick from Leandro Alves (Geo). He netted two goals of the Bulldogs goals in the first half and one of the hosts five in the second half to push Dean to victory. 

KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS

  • Kyle Van Cleef earned the nod for the Rams and made three saves, but allowed four tallies, while Jon Brodeur put up an identical effort in 40:35 minutes of relief. 
  • Brendan Pacheco was backed by a strong Bulldogs defense and did not face a Suffolk shot in net. 

NOTABLES

  • At 8-9 overall, Suffolk capped off the regular season with its best record since going 11-8-1 in 2010.
