Men's Soccer Selected to NCAA Tournament

The Suffolk University Men's Soccer team will take on the Williams College Ephs in the opening round of the 2010 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament on Saturday.

The Rams (11-7-1) will be making their first ever appearance in the national tournament, while the Ephs will be making their 16th appearance in the last 18 seasons.

Suffolk earned an automatic qualifier into this year's 60-team field with their 2-1 win on Saturday over Albertus Magnus College, as the Rams claimed the program's first ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship. Williams, finished the season with an 11-2-2 record and earned an at-large bid after falling short in overtime to Wesleyan College (Conn.) in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Quarterfinals, 2-1.

Suffolk and Williams will square off on Saturday at 11:00am. The winner of the opening round game will advance to face the winner of Salem State(9-5-4)/Babson(14-3-2). The second round game will be played Sunday. All three contests this weekend will be played at Williams College's Cole Field in Williamstown, Mass.
