CHARLESTOWN, Mass. – The Suffolk men's hockey team fell behind early and could not catch up as No. 9/10 Endicott skated past the Rams, 7-3, in Commonwealth Coast Conference action Friday night at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Endicott wasted no time to get on the board as Cam Bleck put the visitors on the board just 16 seconds into the action.
Suffolk equalized the contest 4:04 later as Mikhail Bryan struck on the power play thanks to feeds from Brian Brooks and Nick Abbene.
It turned into the Gulls show from there as Lloyd Hayes gave Endicott a 2-1 edge at the 7:08 minute mark. Five minutes later Daniel Kucerovy and Hayes put in a goal apiece in a 27 seconds span to make it a 4-1 Endicott game after the first frame.
The second stanza saw neither team lit the lamp until nearly the nine minute mark when Ross Olsson converted on the power play for the Gulls. Endicott held onto its 5-1 cushion from there to send Suffolk into the final frame trailing by four.
Halfway through the third Gulls added two more goals over a 1:02 span with Logan Day and Josh Bowes each finding the back of the net to turn it into a 7-1 contest.
Suffolk made a late push with Jack Kelly scoring on a power play at the 14:34 minute mark and Matt Bucher potting the puck 1:10 later, but the distance was too much to make up and the score held 7-3 in favor of the Gulls.
KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS
- Michael Levine made 27 saves in the setback, while Will Ribas made three stops in 7:30 of relief effort.
- Mark Specia picked up the win in net for the Gulls with an 18-save performance.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Bryan, Bucher and Kelly were responsible for Suffolk's three goals.
- Brooks was the lone Ram with a multi-point outing as the sophomore dished out two assists.
- Connor Henry, Abbene and Sam Kent each passed out one helper on the night.
- Hayes led the attack for the Gulls with a two-goal effort.
- Jack Musil, meanwhile, had three setups.
- Endicott held the advantage in shots, 37-21, and inside the faceoff circle 42-26.
