BOSTON – For the third time this season and second time in as many weeks, Suffolk men's hockey's Michael Levine has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference's Goaltender of the Week, the league announced Monday. The recognition comes after a 2-0 week, 76-save week for Levine at the Manchester Pal/Stovepipe Tournament.

Levine was the backstop to Suffolk's 2017 Manchester PAL/Stovepipe Tournament title as the Rams defeated UMass Dartmouth in the opening round of play and took down the tournament host Southern New Hampshire to hoist the trophy Sunday afternoon at the Ice Den in Hooksett, New Hampshire. 

The tournament MVP faced 50 shots versus the Corsairs and turned aside career-high 48 to help secure the 3-2 win for the Rams. The 48 saves are the most by a Suffolk netminder since Kevin Venturoso '17 made 52 stops in a 4-3 win over Tufts Jan. 8, 2014.  

In the championship, Levine made 28 saves against SNHU to aid in the 3-2 victory over the Penmen. 

Overall in the tournament, Levine had a 2.00 goals-against average and a .950 save percentage. 

Levine and the Rams take their four-game win streak back into CCC competition as the blue-and-gold is set for a home-and-home series with the University of New England this weekend. Suffolk will first travel to Biddeford, Maine, Friday, Dec. 1 for a 7 p.m. battle, before entertaining the Nor'Easters in a Saturday (Dec. 2) showdown in Charlestown at 7:30 p.m.
