BOSTON – For the first time in 2001 seasons, Suffolk men's hockey shutout Western New England, blanking the Golden Bears, 5-0, Saturday afternoon at Olympia Ice Center to sweep the regular season with their its conference counterparts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk struck first 11 minutes into the contest as the Rams capitalized on a powerplay opportunity with Sam Kent and Brian Brooks setting up freshman Matt Bucher for his third goal of the season.
Joseph Mortillaro scored midway through the second stanza to give the Rams a 2-0 advantage and the visitors led by the same margin at the intermission.
Nick Mosher, Mortillaro and Kent all found the back of the net in the third period to seal the win for Suffolk.

- Michael Levine recorded 38 saves to improve to 3-2-0 on the year.
- Kevin Gollmer turned aside 27 attempts.
