BEVERLY, Mass. – In its regular season finale, the Suffolk men's hockey team fell behind early and never caught up as No. 7/9 Endicott topped the Rams, 6-2, Monday afternoon at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Endicott wasted no time to take the lead, scoring just one minute into action and would go on to lead 3-0 after the first 20 minutes. The Gulls tacked on two more tallies with Josh Bowes striking at the 3:04 minute mark and Joseph Slovak connecting 4:19 later to make it a 5-0 game in favor of the hosts.
Danyil Medvedev broke up the scoring thanks to a feed from Jack Jenkins at the 18:31 minute mark. With less than a minute to play before the second break, Endicott regained a five-goal edge with a power play score from Cam Bleck.
In the final period the Rams held off the Gulls and Justin Holliday put away a power play goal of his own for the final 6-2 margin.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Medvedev and Holliday each found the back of the netting for Suffolk with Medvedev, Mikhail Bryan and Jenkins dishing out assists in the setback.
- Endicott outshot the Rams, 52-34, and won the fight inside the faceoff circle as well, 50-27.
KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS
- In 40 minutes of action, Will Ribas faced 34 shots and let all six of the Gulls goal in to finish his first collegiate start with 28 saves.
- In relief effort, senior Kevin Venturoso turned aside 18 attempts in 20 minutes in net for Suffolk.
- Kevin Aldridge picked up his 17th win of the season thanks to a 32-save performance.
NOTEWORTHY
- Medvedev led the Rams offense with one goal and one assist, matching a season-high two points.
- Ribas made his first collegiate start in between the pipes for the blue-and-gold.
