BOSTON – The Suffolk men's hockey team will play in front of its home crowd for the first time in 2017 Thursday, Jan. 26 when the Rams entertain Salve Regina in a 7 p.m. CCC contest at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink.

LAST TIME OUT
Jackson Tucker made the most out of his Rams debut with a hat trick and Kevin Venturoso stood tall in between the pipes as the Suffolk men's hockey team returned to the win column Saturday night with a 3-0 shutout over Becker at the New England Sports Complex.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk ended a five-game winless streak Jan. 21 with a 3-0 cleansheat over Becker to move to 4-8-4 on the season and 2-6-2 against CCC competition.
Tommy Bishop is the Rams leader in points with 13 thanks to a team-best eight setups and five scores. Danyil Medvedev is second on the squad with nine points off four goals and five assists with Justin Holliday providing eight points on five markers and three handouts.
Kevin Venturoso has seen all the action in net in second semester for Suffolk. The senior sits at 2-4-0 on the season in eight appearances and five starts thanks to a .923 save percentage and 2.80 GAA. Michael Levine, meanwhile, was the go-to-goalie for the Rams first semester. The sophomore boasts a .897 save percentage and 3.71 GAA for a 2-3-3 ledger.
SOMETHING 'BOUT THE SEAHAWKS
In its latest outing, Salve Regina slipped at Curry, 4-2, to move to 10-5-2 overall and 7-2-1 in CCC action.
Jack Billings' 25 points has set up the Seahawks offense this season with the first-year forward dishing out 20 assists and adding five scores to his stat line. Six other skaters for Salve Regina have surpassed double digits in points with Evan Schultz (9-9-18) boasting the best in goals (9).
Blake Wojtala has started all, but one contest for the Seahawks in net. The sophomore goal is 9-5-2 on the season with a .936 save percentage and 2.21 GAA.
WE MEET AGAIN
The Suffolk men's hockey team suffered a 6-0 setback at Salve Regina in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Nov. 5 at Portsmouth Abbey.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Thursday night marks the 26th meeting on the ice since the 1999-2000 season for Suffolk and Salve Regina. The Seahawks locked the all-time series to 11-11-3 thanks to shutting out the Rams, 6-0, in the first meeting this season.
EYES ON THE GAME
HATS OFF
In his Suffolk debut Jackson Tucker registered a hat trick showing, scoring all three of Suffolk's goals in the 3-0 win at Becker. Tucker, the first Ram to pot three pucks in one game since Stanton Turner did so in a 7-2 win over the Hawks Nov. 11, 2014, grabbed CCC Player of the Week accolades for his three-goal game performance.

SHUTOUT
Kevin Venturoso turned aside 28 pucks Saturday night at Beckerto record his first collegiate shutout. He is the first Suffolk netminder to tally a cleansheet since Michael Levine blanked (1-0) Becker Feb. 13, 2016.
FROZEN FENWAY
Thursday, Jan. 5 will go inside Suffolk men's hockey record books as the Rams took the ice at legendary Fenway Park apart of the Capital One Frozen Fenway 2017.

SHORT-HANDED
Luke Miller's first goal of the season came in short-handed fashion at Western New England Nov. 10. The junior forward is the first Ram to net a man-down score since Justin Selep '16 put one away in a 5-2 win at Nichols Jan. 16, 2016.
CCC FROZEN FIRST
Simon Leahy's first goal of the season turned out to be a historic one as the senior from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was the first player across the CCC to find the back of the netting on the inaugural night of play for the first-year league. Since the tally was on the power play, he added to the historics, as the forward also became the first CCC skater to put one away on the man advantage opportunity.
CCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tommy Bishop of the Suffolk men's hockey team will go down in history as the first-ever Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week as the sophomore grabbed the initial award of the inaugural season after a career opening night, the conference office announced Oct. 31.
