BOSTON – The Suffolk men's hockey team is back at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink Saturday night for a showdown with Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Endicott. Puck drop between the Rams and Gulls is set for 7:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's hockey team rallied from a five-goal deficit to make it a one-goal game, 5-4, with plenty of time remaining in the third period, but back-to-back Curry goals within a 1:22 span sealed the Rams 7-4 losing fate at Max Ulin Arena Thursday night.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk sits 2-3-1 overall and 1-3-1 in CCC contests on the season. Despite its most recent outing resulting in a setback, the Rams have earned points in two of their last three games. 

The Rams have potted 14 goals with the help of 23 assists on the young season with sophomore Tommy Bishop's two-goal, four-assist effort leading the way. Classmates Justin Holliday and Nick Mosher join the forward as the only Suffolk players with multiple goals, scoring two each, while fellow sophomore LJ Fellows has handed out four assists from the blue line to sit second on the squad in points. 

Michael Levine has earned five starts in net for the Rams this season with the sophomore sitting at 2-1-1 on the year with 141 saves (.916) and 13 goals allowed (3.10 GAA). Kevin Venturoso owns Suffolk's other two results in between the pipes with the senior sitting 0-2-0 on the year with 45 stops (.849) and eight goals allowed (5.18 GAA). 

GET TO KNOW THE GULLS
Endicott brings a two-game win streak into Saturday's game thanks to Wins at Johnson & Wales (5-3) and Wentworth (3-1), which improved the Gulls to 2-2-2 on the year and 2-2-1 in league action. 

Ross Olsson's eight points on a team-best five goals and three assists paves the way for Endicott offensively. Tommy Besinger (2-5-7) and Cam Bleck (4-3-7) each add a potent spark for the Gulls, totaling seven points apiece through five games. Besinger is tied for the team-best in handouts with Logan Day as the two sophomores each have passed out five.  Day's six points are good for fourth, while Jason Kalinowski, nephew of former Rams' standout James Doherty, is fifth on the team with one goal and three assists. 

Kevin Aldridge has seen all the action in net for Endicott. The junior has faced 185 shots, turning away 169 (.914) and letting in 16 (2.62 GAA) for a 2-2-2 record. 

THE SERIES
Suffolk and Endicott met for the first time in varsity competition last season. In the first-ever meeting between the Rams and Gulls, the programs skated to a 1-1 tie in Beverly, Massachusetts. Endicott downed the Rams, 6-3, in the second contest to own a 1-0-1 lead in the all-time series. 

EYES ON THE GAME

SHORT-HANDED
Luke Miller's first goal of the season came in short-handed fashion at Western New England Nov. 10. The junior forward is the first Ram to net a man-down score since Justin Selep '16 put one away in a 5-2 win at Nichols Jan. 16, 2016. 

CCC FROZEN FIRST
Simon Leahy's first goal of the season turned out to be a historic one as the senior from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was the first player across the CCC to find the back of the netting on the inaugural night of play for the first-year league. Since the tally was on the power play, he added to the historics, as the forward also became the first CCC skater to put one away on the man advantage opportunity. 

CCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tommy Bishop of the Suffolk men's hockey team will go down in history as the first-ever Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week as the sophomore grabbed the initial award of the inaugural season after a career opening night, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
