BOSTON – On the cusps of the 2018 GNAC Tournament, the conference office released the predictions of the nine head coaches for the 2018 GNAC Men's Golf Championship with the men's golf team being picked seventh.
The Rams earned37 points to finish ahead of Emmanuel (15) and Albertus Magnus (13).
Johnson & Wales received seven first-place nods to land atop the poll with 79 points with Southern Maine, who picked up one first-place vote, sitting second with 66 points. UMass Dartmouth (63), Saint Joseph (Maine) (53), Rhode Island College (40) and Worcester State (39) all landed above the Rams in third through sixth, respectively.
Suffolk has prepped for the conference crown chase with a trio of outings. The Rams captured their season opener, the Emmanuel Invitational, took second at the quad-match, the Saints Invitational and finished in the middle of the pack at their first two-day event of 2018, the Blazer Invitational.
GNAC glory is up for grabs this weekend, Oct. 13-14, as the nine league members converge at Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton, Massachusetts.
