Men’s Golf Concludes Spring at Wildcat Spring Invitational

CRANSTON, R.I. – The Suffolk men's golf team capped off a spring slate with the final event in the annual spring series, the Wildcat Spring Invitational, hosted by Johnson & Wales at the Cranston Country Club over the weekend. 

The Rams put together a team card of 700 over the two-day even to finish 17th in a field of 19. Husson claimed the crown behind a team score of 602, while Western New England was 12 strokes behind the Eagles in second with a 614. 

Demetrois Stamoulis was the top individual performer for the Rams. The sophomore from Manchester, New Hampshire tied for 53rd after upstaging a day one 86 with a second day score of 79 for a combined 165. 

Andrew Harper's 176 put the sophomore, who calls Moreau, New York home, in a three-way tie for 79th. Peabody, Massachusetts native junior Stephen Ferrante was just one stroke behind Harper with 177 to take 82nd. 

Daniel Caissie and Alex Sarkis completed the competitors for Suffolk. Caissie carded a 183, while Sarkis put together a score of 189.
