GNAC Glory Up for Grabs for Men’s Golf this Weekend


BOSTON – The Suffolk men's golf team will join its conference counterparts on the green at the Valley Country Club in Warwick, Rhode Island, this weekend with the winner taking home the GNAC Title. The two-day event is hosted by Rhode Island.

LAST TIME OUT
In its first two-day competition of 2017, the Suffolk men's golf team finished eighth overall at the Blazer Fall Invitational, hosted at The Orchards Golf Club over Oct. 8-9.

THE COURSE
Valley Country Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course with challenging greens including 51 bunkers and three water holes throughout the tree lined course. For more information on the course, click here.

POLL POSITION
On the edge of the 2017 GNAC Tournament, the conference released the championship coaches' poll with the Suffolk men's golf team selected sixth by a vote of the league's nine head coaches.

Tournament host and last year's runner up Rhode Island College sat atop the standings thanks to six first-place votes. The Anchormen look to take home their sixth league title this weekend, while Saint Joseph's (Maine), who came in third in the predictions, will attempt to repeat as champions.
