BOSTON – The Suffolk golf team concludes its 2015 season with the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship this weekend. The best of New England will compete in the three-day championship at the Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk golf team shot a collective 706 to claim eighth at the 2015 GNAC Men's Golf Championship Sunday afternoon at the Allendale Country Club hosted by UMass Dartmouth.

ABOUT THE NEIGA
The New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) is a non-profit organization, which was first organized in 1934 at the Oakley Country Club in Watertown, Massachusetts. NEIGA is believed to be the largest gathering of collegiate players from all levels of NCAA competing at the same location on a 36-holw layout. There are currently 46 New England colleges and universities as members of the NEIGA.

THE COURSE
Two championship golf courses at one location lie in the Captains Golf Course. Together, the par-72 Port Course and the par-72 Starboard Course deliver 36 holes.

A YEAR AGO
Teams from 37 colleges and universities across New England and New York gathered at The Captains Course in Brewester, Massachusetts on Sunday, Oct. 26 and Monday, Oct. 27 for the 80th Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Championship. One hundred and eighty golfers from Divisions I, II and III and Club teams competed. Suffolk placed 15th in the Division III bracket .
