The Suffolk University Men’s Golf team placed 10th in the
Rhode Island College Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Barrett Beinecke finished the day shooting a total
81, eight over par to finish among the top players in the
tournament. Beinecke shot 40 in round one and then a 41 in round
two as he made par in eleven of the course’ holes. The Rams
had two birdies on the day as they combined to make 38 par
shots.
Pat Flaherty, Alex Toma and
Erik Doldt all shot an 87 for the day, as the trio
tied for 45th place. Evan Sohn shot 89 for the day
to place at 51.
Suffolk shot a combined 342 (+54) on the day. Host Rhode Island
College won the invitational shooting a combined 308 (+20) on the
day. Kyle Tibbetts of Providence College had the best individual
score on the day shooting a 73 (+1).
Suffolk will be back in action on Sunday as they will take part in
the Nichols College Invitational.
