Hoops for Hunger Event Planned for Men’s Basketball Saturday Showdown

BOSTON – Suffolk men's basketball will host a Hoops for Hunger event Saturday, Feb. 22 to help fight hunger among the University's community. The Rams will work closely with the Suffolk CARES pantry to help restock the food bank.

Suffolk CARES works collaboratively with students and their families, faculty, staff, and other campus resources to provide support for students through a variety of challenges they may encounter while at the University.

Suffolk CARES assists students in finding the best resources for their individual needs and empowers students to advocate for themselves so that they may remain personally and academically successful. Suffolk CARES consists of a combination of resources and programs managed by the director of student outreach and support. Resources include, but are not limited to Case Management, Suffolk CARES Pantry, Food Insecurity Grants, and Emergency Funding Grants.

Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable items to Suffolk's GNAC regular-season finale against Regis at 1 p.m. at the Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court. There will be a drop off station will be set-up on the right when you exit the elevator and/or stairwell. Individuals who bring a non-perishable item will be entered to win a pair of Celtics tickets.
