HOW IT HAPPENED
For every hoop Suffolk had early on the Golden Bears responded with one from downtown to take a 15-11 lead five minutes into the action.

Western New England's hot hands cooled off, which allowed the Rams to score 12 straight and grab a 23-15 advantage at the 10:51 minute mark.

Kenny Flynn put away the visitors first hoop inside the arc at the midway point to spark an 18-0 stretch that put the Golden Bears up 33-25.

Jeff Juron used a timeout to calm down his squad, but that margin grew to as many as 13 with 1:20 left before halftime. A set of freebies by Nate Hale sliced the margin down two, 44-33, at half time.

A stagnant Rams' offense in the first five minutes allowed WNE to go ahead 54-33. Suffolk had its work cut out if it wanted to comeback as it continued to trail by 20, 58-38, with 11:41 left in the contest.

George Grillakis provided a spark off the bench anchoring a 12-2 rally that pulled the blue-and-gold within 10, 60-50, at the 6:27 minute mark.

A Western New England 30-second timeout calmed the visitors down and they went on to regain a 19-point cushion with 1:23 left, putting the game just out of reach for the Rams.
