Senior Quartet to Captain 2019-20 Men’s Basketball

BOSTON - Suffolk men's basketball's Class of 2020 will split captain responsibilities as head coach Jeff Juron unveiled that Thomas DuffyJonathan EngGeorge Grillakis and Cameron Powers have been named captains for the 2019-20 campaign.

"I'm excited about our four senior captains," Juron said. "Their commitment and experience are benefitting our team every day."

The foursome has made positive impacts on the hardwood and off since bringing its talents to Beacon Hill as part of Juron's first recruiting class.

A year ago, the four anchored Suffolk to a historical season that featured the most wins in a decade (18-8) and a second-place showing in the GNAC standings with a 9-2 league ledger.

The group looks to build off its accomplishments and has one season left to bring GNAC glory back to Suffolk before the Rams' departure the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in 2020-21.

Suffolk tips off its 73rd season at the Babson Invitational where it will take on Salem State Saturday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m., before wrapping up action at Babson Park, Massachusetts, against the host the following day at 1 p.m.
