BOSTON –Riding the longest win streak since 2003, Suffolk men's basketball returns to GNAC competition Saturday, Jan. 6 as the Rams travel to Albertus Magnus. The conference contest is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tip-off.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's basketball team kept its win streak going as the Rams bested Framingham State, 93-66, Wednesday night inside Regan Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has been firing on all cylinders as of late, running their win streak to five with a convincing 93-66 win over Framingham State Wednesday, to take a 6-4 record back into conference competition. The Rams opened their GNAC slate with Dec. 2 with a 68-56 victory over Saint Joseph's (Maine), which marked the first time since 2013 Suffolk lifted the lid on league play with a win.
As a team, Suffolk is pouring in 72.4 ppg paced by Thomas Duffy's 17.6 ppg effort. Michael Hagopian joins the sophomore guard in double figures with a 15.2 ppg performance. Brendan Mulson adds 8.9 ppg to the offensive unit with Jim Djema (7.7 ppg) also being a consistent contributor.
On the glass, the Rams bring down 32.3 rpg receiving 5.4 rpg and 5.2 rpg from Mulson and Querusion, respectively.
FALCONS FACTS
Albertus Magnus returns to action in the New Year for the first time on Saturday versus Suffolk. The conference favorites wrapped up first semester action at 5-3 and 2-0 in league play, but ended action with an 81-80 heartbreaking setback to New Jersey City.
The Falcons boasts the second-best offense in the conference with 82.3 ppg. Jaqhawn Walters is the league's top scoring threat as the senior forward paces Albertus' attack with 26.0 ppg off a 57.2 shooting clip from the floor. Mason Jones and Ryan Pittman add double digits on the offensive end with 16.6 ppg and 13.1 ppg, respectively.
Walters as impressive on the defensive end leading the league in rebounds with 12.3 rpg to lead the Falcons 39.4 rpg effort.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Suffolk has fallen to Albertus Magnus in the last nine meetings between the squads in a series which started when the Rams joined the GNAC ranks in 1999. The Falcons, who picked up the last win by a72-59 margin, lead the meetings, 23-15.
EYES ON THE GAME
STREAKING
Thanks to its 93-66 victory over Framingham State, the Rams ran their win streak to five straight. The five consecutive wins are the most victories in a row in the Jeff Juron era and marks the longest win streak for Suffolk since stringing five triumphs together Jan. 23-30, 2003.
OFFENSIVE OUTPUT
Suffolk poured in 93 points in a convincing 93-66 win over Framingham State. The 93 points are not only the most under Jeff Juron's guidance, but the most points since the Rams dropped 96 in a 96-81 victory over New England College Nov. 30, 2014.
HELPING HAND
Suffolk dished out 24 assists in the 93-66 win against Framingham State. The 24 dimes are the most under Jeff Juron and most since matching that number in an 85-80 victory over Emerson Jan. 4, 2014.
PERFECT PERFORAMNCE
Alex Jacovides had a perfect performance from the floor Wednesday night as the sophomore connected on all six of his attempts from the field, including five from beyond-the-arc, to finish the evening with a career-high 17 points.
