BOSTON – The Suffolk men's basketball team wraps up first semester action Tuesday, Dec. 12 with a 7 p.m. showdown with UMass Boston inside Regan Gymnasium.

DOUBLEHEADER
Tuesday's clash marks the second time this season that the Suffolk women and men will take the Larry E. Smith & Michael S. Smith Court on the same day. 

Both teams are 1-0 when playing a doubleheader at Regan Gymnasium with the women coasting past Mount Ida, 84-61, and the men putting on a thrilling 68-56 comeback over Saint Joseph's (Maine) December 2.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's basketball team stretched its win streak to three straight as the Rams took down local foe Lesley, 61-46, Saturday afternoon inside Regan Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Thanks to its winning ways as of late, Suffolk evened its ledger at 4-4 overall. 

As a team the Rams are producing 69.0 ppg with a pair of players average double figures; Thomas Duffy (17.8 ppg) and Michael Hagopian (15.3 ppg). 

Kevin Querusio's 5.3 rpg holds down Suffolk on the glass with freshman Brendan Mulson contributing on both ends of the hardwood with 8.5 ppg and 4.8 rpg.

BEACONS BREAKDOWN
Throughout the month of December the Beacons have traded wins with losses with UMass Boston landing on the right side of a 68-59 decision versus Rhode Island College Saturday to return to the win column and improve to 5-4 on the season. 

The Beacons 66.7 ppg receives 13.2 ppg from Charles Mitchell and 11.3 ppg from Michael Boyd. Dasan Cinelli adds 9.1 ppg with Kevin Louise-Jean (8.7 ppg) and Ty Lee (7.1 ppg) also consistently contributing. 

Cinelli's 8.3 rpg leads the way on the glass for UMass, who pulls down 33.4 rpg as a squad.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Tuesday marks the 28th meeting between the Rams and Beacons since the first matchup in 1990. UMass holds a commanding 20-8 series lead, including victories in the last nine meetings. Suffolk looks to tally its first mark in the win column versus its city rival since 2007.

Suffolk is unbeaten in front of its home crowd this season, earning a trio of wins inside Regan Gymnasium; Brandeis (75-67), Saint Joseph's (Maine) (68-56) and Lesley (61-46).  

STREAKING
Thanks to its 61-46 victory over Lesley Saturday, Dec. 9, the Rams ran their win streak to three straight. The three consecutive wins are the most victories in a row in the Jeff Juron era and longest win streak for Suffolk since compiling four wins together Nov. 22-Dec. 4, 2014.

With first semester action complete, Suffolk turns its attention to the New Year where it will open up 2018 action Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 6 p.m. versus Framingham State.
