BOSTON – In its final home contest of 2016, the Suffolk men's basketball team entertains Norwich Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. inside Regan Gymnasium.

DOUBLE FEATURE
For the second time this season, Suffolk's basketball teams will partake in a double header. The men's squad gets the action going at 5 p.m. versus Norwich with the women's team taking the Larry E. Smith & Michael S. Smith Court against Johnson & Wales against 7:15 p.m. 

LAST TIME OUT
Trailing by three with the ball and 20 seconds on the clock, the Suffolk men's basketball team had two opportunities to tie the game, but could not connect as Saint Joseph's (Maine) held on for the 55-52 victory in the Rams' GNAC opener Saturday afternoon inside Regan Gymnasium.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk slipped to 1-6 on the season and 0-1 in GNAC play. 

The Rams are putting in 63.9 ppg paced by a trio of sophomores averaging double figures. Steven DiPrizio leads the way with 12.6 ppg with Michael Hagopian and Jim Djema tallying 12.0 ppg and 10.7 ppg, respectively. 

Defensively, Suffolk grabs 32.1 rpg. DiPrizio is once again leading the way for the Rams with the forward pulling down 6.3 rpg. Freshmen Thomas Duffy and George Grillakis add to the effort with 5.6 rpg and 4.0 rpg, respectively. 

CATCH UP ON THE CADETS
Norwich is 3-3 on the season and 1-0 against conference competition with a 78-67 win over Rivier. In their most recent outing the Cadets fell to RPI, 65-48, at the Hockenbury Classic. 

On the offensive end of the hardwood, Norwich is scoring 71.7 ppg with Daniel Haimes' 14.3 ppg leading the way. Ryan Booth (11.0 ppg) and Mike Hogervorst (10.5 ppg) are also recording double digits. 

Hogervorst is pacing the Cadets on the glass with 6.5 rpg with Darius Bryant (5.3 rpg) and Booth (5.0 rpg) contributing to Norwich's 40.2 rpg effort. 

INSIDE THE SERIES
Suffolk and Norwich will meet for the 40th time Wednesday night. Last season the Rams and Cadets split the two meetings. The blue and gold recorded a 30-point win in the last meeting, 88-58, matching the biggest win in the series history, which Suffolk trails 23-16. 

EYES ON THE GAME

SEEING DOUBLE
Steven DiPrizio has notched two double-doubles this season. The first of his career came in a 78-72 setback to Emerson with a 22-point, 13-rebound effort. The sophomore notched his second in the Rams' first win of the season as the forward led the blue and gold to victory with 19 points and 17 boards.

Suffolk hits the road for the remainder of 2016 before the holiday break. The Rams first travel to Albertus Magnus Saturday, Dec. 10 for a 1 p.m. conference contest before stopping by UMass Boston Tuesday, Dec. 13 for a 7 p.m. contest game.
