BOSTON – Riding the momentum of its first victory of the season, the Suffolk men's basketball team starts anew as the Rams welcome Saint Joseph's (Maine) to Regan Gymnasium for their GNAC opener Saturday, Dec. 3. Tip-off is scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m.

DOUBLE FEATURE
For the first of four times this season, the Suffolk men's and women's basketball teams will partake in a doubleheader. The women's team gets the day going with a non-conference contest versus Framingham State at 1 p.m., followed by the men's squad's league opener against St. Joseph's (Maine) at 3:15 p.m. 

Last season, the Rams' men's team went 1-5 when playing the same day inside Regan Gymnasium as the women. 

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's basketball team used a 9-0 run to gain an advantage at the end of the first half and never looked back as the Rams went on to defeat Wheelock, 63-48 Tuesday night at Winsor Court.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk picked up its first win of the season Tuesday night.  The Rams matched their biggest victory over Wheelock (15) in the all-time series, 63-48, to take a 1-5 overall record into the weekend. 

Sophomore Steven DiPrizio leads Suffolk on both ends of the hardwood with 13.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg. Classmates Michael Hagopian and Jim Djema also contribute double figures with 12.0 ppg and 11.5 ppg, respectively, while freshman Thomas Duffy adds to the Rams' effort on the glass with 5.5 rpg. 

MONKS MENTIONABLES
St. Joseph's heads to Boston 2-3 overall and 1-0 in conference competition thanks to a 61-54 victory at Anna Maria Nov. 29. 

The Monks are putting up 64.8 ppg thanks to 12.8 ppg from Darian Berry and 10.0 ppg from Marc Corey. Defensively, Quinn Richardson-Newtown grabs a team-best 6.2 rpg to pace St. Joseph's 34.8 rpg. 

INSIDE THE SERIES
Suffolk and St. Joseph's will meet for the 29th time in the series history. The Rams own just four victories in the all-time meetings, which includes the last meeting, a 58-53 win over the Monks. Overall, Suffolk trails the all-time series, 4-14. 

EYES ON THE GAME

SEEING DOUBLE
Steven DiPrizio has notched two double-doubles this season. The first of his career came in a 78-72 setback to Emerson with a 22-point, 13-rebound effort. The sophomore notched his second in the Rams' first win of the season as the forward led the blue and gold to victory with 19 points and 17 boards.
