BOSTON – The Suffolk men's basketball team will host Johnson & Wales at Regan Gymnasium Saturday afternoon. The Rams and Wildcats are scheduled for a 3 p.m. tip-off.

DOUBLE DIP
For the third time this season, the Suffolk basketball teams will take part in a double feature with the women's squad tipping off at 1 p.m. against Emmanuel, followed by the men and JWU at 3:15 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's basketball team slipped up at Norwich, 67-51, in a GNAC tilt Wednesday evening.

Suffolk was led by senior Jake Mesiter with 16 points, while classmate Caleb Unni added 15 points for the Rams. Freshman forward Steven DiPrizio scored eight points and collected a team-high six rebounds off the bench.

RUN DOWN ON THE RAMS

  • Suffolk enters play Saturday with a 4-89 overall record and 2-4 in in GNAC play.
  • Jake Meister enters play as the GNAC's seventh-leading scorer with 15.4 ppg. He has connected on 48.5 percent of his attempts from the field, and is on fire from the free throw line having made 35-of-47 attempts. Matt Duquette is also averaging in double-figures at 14.7 ppg. Adam Chick, who provides 6.1 ppg,

WILDCAT WAYS

  • Johnson & Wales brings an undefeated 7-0 GNAC record and 13-1 overall ledger into Saturday's game. After dropping their first game of the season, the Wildcats have won 13 straight, including a 113-58 triumph over Albertus Magnus Wednesday night.  

  • Quarry Greenaway and Tom Garrick not only lead the team, but the league in scoring with 26.3 and 207 points per game, respectively. Greenaway also paces the Wildcats on the glass with 8.7 rpg.
