Both teams would go back and forth throughout the majority of the second half when junior Eli Kell-Abrams (Berkely, Calif.) made it a one-point game with a three-pointer with five minutes remaining in regulation at 66-65. Powers would answer with a layup as Suffolk would then go on a 14-3 run in a three-minute span to give the Rams' their largest lead off the contest, 80-68 with a little less than three minutes remaining.

With less than a minute remaining in the contest, sophomore Michael Thorpe (Newton, Mass.) would connect on a three-pointer to make it a two possession game at 82-77 before Nwadike capped off the Rams' victory making both of his free-throw attempts.
