Golf Places Third In Quad Match

For the third time this season, the Emmanuel College men's golf team posted a record-low team total of 325 this afternoon in the EC Quad match played at Franklin Park Golf Course in Dorchester, Mass. Elms College placed first overall in the event with a team total of 307 while Suffolk University came in third, five strokes behind the Saints with a team total of 330. Daniel Webster College rounded out the four teams with a team score of 360.

Elms College junior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) earned individual medalist honors shooting a collegiate-career low round of 70 to help spark the Blazers to a team score of 307. The junior carded back-to-back 35's on both sides of the par 70 course. His teammate, junior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) posted the low nine-hole score, shooting a two-under 33 on the front nine before rounding out the day with a 39 on the back for a final score of 72.

The Saints were led by the freshman duo of P.J. Levesque (Norton, Mass.) and Matteo Pocobene (Malden, Mass.) who each fired off 77's, respectively. Junior Ben Taylor (Newbury, Mass.) was next in the clubhouse with an 84 while sophomore Michael Burgess (Milton, Mass.) posted an 87 to help the Saints to the 325, matching the program's lowest team-total for the third time this year.

The Rams received solid play from Joe Surace (Pearl River, N.Y.) who carded a team-low 77 with a 37 in and 40 out while Chris Taggart (Norwood, Mass.) registered an 80.

Kieran Kavanaugh (East Lyme, Conn.) shot the low round for the DWC Eagles, shooting an 84.

The Saints will return to action on Sunday, October 7 when they head to Gorham, Maine for the University of Southern Maine Fall Classic.
