Baseball Sits Sixth in Latest NCAA D3 Regional Rankings

NCAA DIVISION III REGIONAL RANKINGS

INDIANAPOLIS – Suffolk baseball secured the sixth spot in Region II in the latest NCAA Division III Regional Rankings, the national organization announced.

The Rams grabbed the sixth-spot in the seven-team ranking with a 24-13 overall record. Suffolk is joined in Region II by its Commonwealth Coast Conference counterparts No. 1 Endicott (1st), Roger Williams (3rd) and Nichols (5th). The blue-and-gold emerged on the list a week ago in the first regional rankings of 2024, which named teams alphabetically.

Suffolk is on a nine-game win streak, its longest since March 22-April 6, 2014 when it strung 10 victories in a row together. In that stretch, the Rams bats have heated up with 93 runs, while the blue-and-gold's pitching staff has limited its opponents to 21 runs, 16 earned. In 37 games this year, Suffolk has outscored its opponents 315-229.

The Rams look to keep their winning ways going in their regular-season finale, a twinbill trip to Hartford this Saturday, May 4. Game one is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.
