Baseball Emerges in NCAA D3 Regional Rankings

NCAA DIVISION III REGIONAL RANKINGS

BOSTON – The NCAA released the first regional rankings of the 2024 Division III Baseball season Wednesday, April 24. The Ram of Suffolk University earned a spot in Region II. 

The first edition of the regional rankings was listed in apathetical order and Suffolk was joined by Commonwealth Coast Conference counterparts No. 1 Endicott, No. 23 Roger Williams, and Nichols, as well as No. 18 Eastern Connecticut State, UMass Boston and Westfield State.   

It is the first time Suffolk has appeared in the NCAA regional rankings since 2019.   

The 19-13 overall Rams are currently on a four-game win streak in which their bats have outscored their foes, 49-6. In 32 games, Suffolk has outscored its opponents 271-214.  

The Rams aim to keep the winning ways going this weekend as it has back-to-back doubleheaders at East Boston Memorial Park. Suffolk will first entertain Curry Saturday, April 27 in a Commonwealth Coast Conference clash, before hosting Anna Maria in a non-conference twinbill Sunday, April 28. Both days of action are scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.
