EAST BOSTON – Suffolk baseball's bats never figured out the Gulls pitching staff as No. 1 Endicott blanked the Rams, 12-0, in seven innings in a Commonwealth Coast Conference contest at East Boston Memorial Park Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The top-ranked Gulls batted around in the first frame to build a six-run lead that turned into double figures in the second. 

Two more runs for Endicott in the third extended the edge to a dozen. That score remained the rest of the way as Suffolk's bats were limited to four hits and just nine base runners through the seven-inning showdown.  

PITCHERS PICTURE

  • In a staff day for Suffolk, starter Patrick Desmond took the loss after giving up six runs on four hits and two walks with one strike in 1.0 inning of work. 
  • John McDevitt (4 R, 4 H, 1 BB, 1 K), Cam Martin (2 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K), Sebastian Lampert (1 H, 1 BB), and Billy Beneke all shoved 1.0 inning of relief, while Jack Raimo (2 H, 3 BB) worked 2.0 frames out of the pen. 
  • Nicholas Cannata earned the decision for Endicott with 5.0 innings of scoreless work with three hits and five strikeouts allowed. 
  • Brady Stuart shoved 2.0 innings of scoreless relief with one hit and one walk and five punchouts.
