Seariac Selected CoSIDA Academic All-District

CoSIDA Release

BOSTON – Christian Seariac of the Suffolk baseball team added an academic accomplishment to his resume as the Rams' graduate student was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for the 2021 campaign, the organization announced.

Seariac is one of 12 NCAA Division III Players in the New England region honored for combined academic and athletic excellence. The MBA candidate is one of three Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) players to earn the honor joining Endicott's Joseph Millar and Wentworth's Aidan French. Seariac is the ninth Suffolk Baseball player to pick up the nod, first since Brady Chant '18 did so in 2018. For a complete list of 2021 CoSIDA Baseball Academic All-District team, click here

In total, Suffolk has produced 22 all-district honorees with four coming in 2020-21 alone with women's basketball's Jenni-Rose DiCecco, men's soccer's Tucker Mee and volleyball's Dakhensey Marcellus also picking up the distinction for their efforts this year. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot where CoSIDA members vote for Academic Al-America teams within their division. Awarded by CoSIDA to the most accomplished student-athletes for academic and athletic achievements each year since 1952, this is the longest-running and most prestigious academic and athletic award for student-athletes to receive.

Seariac headed to Suffolk to not only work towards his Master's in Business Administration, but to compete between the lines for the Rams after wrapping up a three-year stint at MCLA.

On the field the utility player, who found a spot at second for Suffolk, contributed in every way especially at the plate with team-leading slash line of .477/.545/.662 that produced the most hits (31) in the blue-and-gold line-up. The lefty batter brought in 13 runs and scored 13 himself to help Suffolk reach the CCC playoffs in its first year competing in the league. He was awarded for his athletic achievements with a spot on the All-CCC first-team as well as an All-New England third-team nod from the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) in conjunction with the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings.
