Brigham Named Second Team ABCA/Rawlings All-New England

BOSTON – Suffolk baseball's Tim Brigham added his second all-region accolade to his resume over the weekend as the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) in conjunction with the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings honored the junior outfielder with a spot on the second-team, the organization announced.

Brigham helped Suffolk to back-to-back regular-season GNAC crowns, a first in program history, with a 14-2 league ledger en route to the Rams' conference post-season appearance.

A total of 50 players from 31 different programs were recognized on the three teams. Brigham earned the accolade for the first time in his career and picked up the feat a week after garnering an honorable mention All-New England nod from D3Baseball.com. Brigham was one of six GNAC student-athletes on the list that saw a trio from Saint Joseph's (Maine) along with a pair from Johnson & Wales.

Brigham's bat led the way for the blue-and-gold in 2019 with the first-team All-GNAC outfielder producing 60 hits that brought in 45 runs on a .390 average. The right-handed batter hit for power with 26 extra-base hits including 23 doubles for an impressive .597 slugging percentage and 92 total bases.

In the field, the Cape Elizabeth, Maine's glove was nearly perfect with just a pair of errors in his 34 total chances in the outfield.
