BOSTON – The Suffolk baseball team remains on the road Thursday, April 5 as it travels to Nichols for a non-conference clash with the Bison at 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk baseball team slipped to Endicott, 3-2, at North Field Monday afternoon in non-conference action.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has fallen in its last five games and looks to snap the skid, which put the blue-and-gold at 4-13 overall, Thursday afternoon. 

Seniors Brady Chant and Seth Coiley continue to be the power at the plate for the blue-and-gold. Chant has team-best nubers in average (.391), hits (25), RBI (9) and runs scored (11), while Coiley is second on the squad with 21 hits on a .368 average for four RBI and eight runs scored. 

Charles Batchelder headlines Suffolk's stuff on the mound. The RHP, who has worked 24.0 innings, owns a team-best 2.25 ERA with 10 strikeouts, while fellow rightie Mark Fusco, who has seen 21.2 frames, falls in a close second with a 2.49 ERA and a team-high 18 Ks. Southpaw Kevin Sinatra rounds out the Suffolk's top three arms with a 3.75 ERA and 10 punch outs through 24.0 innings.

BISON BREAKDOWN
Nichols brings in a 6-11 overall record into Thursday's tilt and is most recently coming off a 10-7 win over Worcester State. 

Kyle Bouchard and Cam Cook each have 24 hits to their credit. Bouchard leads the way in average, hitting .387 for a team-best 13 RBI. Cook, meanwhile has scored 14 times and brought in three runs on a .324 batting average. 

StigErik McElhinney has the most experience on the hill 22.0 innings, starting all four of his appearances, but holds a 9.82 ERA with 13 Ks. Vincent Amato owns the best ERA of the Bison starts at 4.19. He has started a trio of games, working 19.1 frames on the mound, and has sat down 11 hitters.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Suffolk and Nichols will meet for the 35th time Thursday. Overall, the series is tied at 17 wins apiece. The Rams and Bison will square off  for the first time since April 18, 2003, which the blue-and-gold won, 13-5.

Suffolk's GNAC title defense begins this weekend as the Rams open up their conference campaign at Albertus Magnus Saturday, April 7 before visiting Lasell the following day, Sunday, April 8.
