BOSTON – Two days removed from lifting Suffolk baseball to victory, Sean Cameron did it again with another walk-off single to send the Rams over Lasell, 4-3, Sunday night at East Boston Memorial Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Zeros remained on the scoreboard until the bottom of the second when Kevin Higgins sent a solo shot over the left field fence to break open the scoring.
The one-run lead was shortlived as Lasell leveled the playing field in the next half inning. Suffolk regained the advantage in the home half of the fourth. Matt Brenner led things off with a double to right field and came in on Kevin Belskie's single through the left side. BJ Neil found the same spot that Belskie did and scored Luke Ronchi, who reached on a single, to make it a 3-1 Suffolk game.
With Suffolk two outs away from the win up two in the top of the seventh, Lasell's Brandon Valentin knocked a homer over the right field fence to bring in Hector Coscione, who tripled, to equalize the playing field at 3-all. The Rams minimized the damage with a 643-double play to set-up another walk-off win.
The Lasers took down Neil swinging before Higgins sent a single to second base. Chant's ground out double moved Higgins to third and set up Cameron's antics. The senior shortstop barreled a single to center to bring home the go-ahead run to seal the win and series sweep.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Higgins and Ronchi each 2-for-3 days at the plate. Higgins produced one RBI to go with two runs, while Ronchi scored once.
- Brenner, Belskie, Neil and Cameron all recorded one hit apiece with Brenner and Ronchi scoring one run each.
PITCHERS PICTURE
- Worth Walrod moved to 2-2 on the season with the junior southpaw allowing three runs on eight hits with seven strikeouts.
- The Lasers used in Casey Johnson and Hector Coscione. Johnson suffered the setback letting up four runs on eight hits and fanning three strikeouts.
NOTEWORTHY
- The victory marks the Rams' third walk-off victory of the season and ninth game decided by one-run for the blue-and-gold in 2017, seven of which Suffolk won.
- Suffolk won its fifth straight versus Lasell, sweeping the Lasers for the second straight season.
- The Rams produced a homer in back-to-back games for the second time this season with the jacks coming off the same bat, Higgins, marking the first time a Ram had two consecutive games with a bomb since Seth Coiley accomplished the feat last season at Curry and Endicott (March 31-April 6).
