The Suffolk University Athletics Department is offering the following events to ALLundergraduate students for the 2010-11 academic calendar. ONLY SUFFOLK UNIVERSITY students are eligible for the following sports and must provide valid Suffolk ID at all events.

 

Registration for these events will be done online only.

 

For team sports, only captains need to enter their team’s information. For those students without a team they can sign up through our free agent list.

 

Fall Semester

 

Ultimate Disc

Played in the fall semester in the Regan Gymnasium from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Players can sign up with athletic department or with the Ultimate Frisbee Club in Student Activities. 

Intramural Flag Football

Played down at the Pupolo Field in the North End.  Played in the early fall, starting in October and running through the end of the fall semester  flag football has been the most popular intramural sport. Games are played on field dimensions of 80 yards long by 40 yards wide with. The field is broken down in to 3 quadrants of 20 yards each, and two ten yard end zones. Flag Football is open and as teams are comprised of 7 players on the field at a time. The overall roster maximum is 15 players.  Rosters need to be submitted online by Thursday, Oct 14Play starts on October 21.

 

Suffolk (Mini) Golf Tournamnet—Sunday, December 5

Play in the 1st Annual Suffolk (Mini) Golf Tournament in the Regan Gymnasium.  Golf Course will be set up in the gymnasium.  Number of players will be limited so please sign up early.  Prizes will be given to winner.  Tournament is on Sunday, December 5.

 

Ping Pong Tournament (Semester Long)

The First Annual semester long ping pong tournament will start in October.  Sign up early to reserve your spot.  Once the field is set a tournament bracket will be posted in the Ridgeway Building.  You read the bracket, contact your opponent and play your match in the Student Activities lounge.  Once the match is complete, report the scores and work your way through the tournament bracket.

 

Spring Semester

 

Intramural Basketball

2012 Spring Semester Playoff Bracket

Played within the confines of the Regan Gymnasium, located inside the Ridgeway Building.  Open to teams of Men or Women, basketball is traditionally played from Monday –Friday.  Basketball is officiated by Rec Sports staff officials, not NBA or college level officials. Any disrespect toward these students will not be tolerated.  Roster size is limited to 12.

 

Billiards Tournament

The First Annual semester long Billiards tournament will start in October.  Sign up early to reserve your spot.  Once the field is set a tournament bracket will be posted in the Ridgeway Building.  You read the bracket, contact you opponent and play your match in the Student Activities lounge.  Once the match is complete, report the scores and work your way through the tournament bracket.

 

Bowling Tournament

This one day tournament will be held downtown Boston at a set of local lanes.  Date and lanes to be announced at a later date.
