2018-19 CoSIDA Publication & Design Contest Results

ORLANDO, Fla. – Five Suffolk Athletics publications designed, produced and edited by Sports Information Director Amy Barry garnered national and regional recognition in the 2018-19 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Publication & Design Contest.

Winners were announced at the CoSIDA Convention at the Orlando Marriot World Center in Orlando, Florida today. There are over 50 categories across the board in the annual contest, with every program at every level having the opportunity to receive recognition for their work.

At the national level, Barry and the Rams picked up five nods across three categories all in the College Division, which is comprised of Division II, Division III, NAIA and NJCAAA institutions. Overall 34 different departments were acknowledged nationally with at least one such honor. Barry's five tied for the sixth highest.

Barry was recognized in each category she entered highlighted by two "First in the Nation" nods and a "Best Cover" distinction. Her 2019 Baseball Media Guide topped the category overall and for its cover appeal. A pair of Rams' posters picked up accolades on the national and district level: women's basketball's schedule poster was dubbed "First in the Nation" and "Second in the District", while the men's schedule poster garnered "Second in the Nation" and "First in the District." In the Infographic/Program/Event section, Suffolk's 'Meet the Rams' graphic representing the inaugural Suffolk women's hockey squad in bitmoji form was voted "Second in the Nation" and topped the District, which is made up of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and multiple Canadian provinces, while the men's soccer's London Release grabbed second in the district nods.

With the addition of the 2018-19 awards Suffolk University now has 15 total honors, all of which belong to Barry, in the last three years for its excellence in publications, writing and overall service to the media.
