Being a member of the women’s volleyball team the past four years has greatly contributed to my incredible experience at Suffolk University. Being a part of this team has taught me so many skills and life lessons, as well as introduced me to some of the most amazing people in my life. Suffolk Volleyball has without a doubt shaped me into the person I am today and I have gained so much from being a part of this team.

Coming into Suffolk freshman year, I was nervous and excited to begin preseason and meet the other girls on the team. Having no idea what to expect, with a few awkward first days and painful workouts, this team got to know each other and become friends right off the bat. Being a very young team, with only one senior our freshmen year, this team has grown in so many ways the past couple of years and I am so thankful to have gotten to share it with each member of our team. I wouldn’t want to spend my college experience with anyone else on the court.

To my fellow seniors:  We made it! I am so thankful to have shared the past four seasons with the seven of you. We have all come such a long way from our freshmen year and I can’t believe the time has finally come to hang up our uniforms. I am so happy to have shared the memories, wins, losses, and everything in-between with you girls.

To my underclassmen: You all are incredibly talented on and off the court and I cannot wait to watch you girls succeed within the next couple of years. Continue to keep working and playing hard for each other and building this program. Before you know it, time is up and it will be your final season. Make it count and don’t take it for granted because once it is gone, it is really gone.

I will miss each and every one of you and can’t believe the time has come to say goodbye. I am so proud to have shared the court with each of you and wish nothing but success to all of you in your future. All of the blood, sweat and tears were completely worth it, as Suffolk Volleyball gave me one heck of a college experience that I wouldn’t trade for the world.

Thank you to my coaches, fellow team members, parents and Suffolk Athletics!
