Former Suffolk University pitcher Reid Jackson has signed a contract with the Brockton Rox of the CanAm Independent League for the upcoming 2011 season.
Freshmen Devan Jones (Roslindale, Mass.) and Jake Cintolo (Wrentham, Mass.) were both selected to the NEIBA All-New England Region teams. During the 2011 season the duo combined for 138 of the Rams’ 500 hits on the season as Suffolk ranks ninth in the nation among 370 Division-III baseball programs in team hits.
Freshmen Taylor Miranda (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Gabrielle Balestrier (Mohnton, Pa.) will be travelling to Brazil as part of the USA D-3 Soccer Tour run by USA Sports Tours and Events.

Seven individuals and one team will be honored during a Hall of Fame Induction Dinner on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge. The reception will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a dinner and induction ceremony at 7 p.m.
Suffolk University Head Baseball Coach Cary McConnell earned his 400th win in a Suffolk uniform on Saturday evening as the Rams topped the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats 7-2 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament.
